About

Kristi Shalla

I am the Innovation Commissioner at the Swiss Business Hub USA, based at the Embassy of Switzerland in Washington DC. I have been working in international economic development for the last 15 years across the US, Asian and European markets and focus on trade, investment and deep tech R&D project development across borders.

My true passion is transport and equitable development and this blog is dedicated to those topics. Before joining the Swiss Business Hub, I was the Head of Project Development at the Center for Innovation in Transport (CENIT) in Barcelona, Spain where I built public and private partnerships for transport innovation research for global projects. I worked extensively with Asian markets, most notably South Korea.
